MOCKTEST RESULTS 2009
The results for the 2152 candidates that have sat the tests between June and 26th September are now available to download by clicking on the link below. These results are also being posted to you.
Thank you for taking part and we hope that the experience has been helpful for you and your child. Many will be taking their first ‘real’ test in September and further tests are taken at other schools throughout the Autumn and in January. We hope that your child will now feel more relaxed about the experience of taking the tests and that this helps him or her to do his best in the real thing. The scores might also be one more piece of information for you in deciding whether passing selective tests are a realistic option for your son or daughter.
Information
Living in the catchment area of selective schools, parents with children of qualifying age will know about the tension that builds up in the run-up to the various entrance exams. Well aware of this, the PTA at Sutton Grammar School has organised a series of "Mock Tests" in recent years that help reduce the anxiety and have received overwhelming praise from participating families.
The SGSPTA Mock Tests are unique to the area and give boys and girls the rare opportunity to complete typical test papers in an authentic environment. Although candidates receive results that reflect their ability, SGSPTA organisers stress that the experience itself is the real strength of the Mock Tests, especially as most children of this age have never sat any formal exam before.
