Learning Objectives
Pupils should be able to:

identify and name the basic floral structures of a plant.

explain the functions of the floral structures of a plant.

describe that pollination in plants occurs when a pollen grain lands on the stigma of a plant of the same species.

explain that the pollen grain will germinate and fuse with an ovule in the process of fertilisation and that the fertilised ovule will form a seed and the ovary may form a fruit.

describe seed germination.

identify anomalous results.

know that data is reliable if similar data could be obtained by a second reading or a second observer, all taken under the same set of controlled variables and/or conditions. Ie that the result must be repeatable.

identify what an independent and dependent variable are.
