Geography Trips and Visits

 Sixth Form
Every year, the Year 12s visit Barcelona for their fieldwork to support the new A Level specifications and the requirement for Independent Investigations. This trip  runs in March and costs in the region of £300 (with financial support from the school available for those who are eligible). In the past the department ran an annual trip to the Magdalen Trust on the Somerset/Dorset border for the Sixth Form to undertake fieldwork.

Iceland

Every two years, students from Year 9 upwards have the opportunity to visit the incredible country of Iceland to experience volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and the famous geothermal features! Watch the 2016 Trip video by Chris Kalogroulis using the following links:

GCSE

Local fieldwork is conducted in Sutton and along the River Wandle to support the new 9-1 GCSE specification. This will be an opportunity to explore human and physical geography topics and for students to develop their fieldwork skills.
