Geography Trips and Visits
Sixth Form
Every year, the Year 12s visit Barcelona for their fieldwork to support the new A Level specifications and the requirement for Independent Investigations. This trip runs in March and costs in the region of £300 (with financial support from the school available for those who are eligible). In the past the department ran an annual trip to the Magdalen Trust on the Somerset/Dorset border for the Sixth Form to undertake fieldwork.
GCSE
Local fieldwork is conducted in Sutton and along the River Wandle to support the new 9-1 GCSE specification. This will be an opportunity to explore human and physical geography topics and for students to develop their fieldwork skills.
