Key Stage 3 - Music

Pupils study all Music through the three core skills in Music:

  • Composing
  • Performing
  • Appraising & Musical Understanding (Listening, Theory & Aural)

We believe that with practical, first-hand experience pupils gain a better understanding of the process of music.

How we assess your son's progress in KS3

Your son is assessed on three core skills in Music:

  • Composing
  • Performing
  • Musical Understanding (Listening, Theory & Aural)

Each project that the students study will include tests in these core skills and as well as an overall level in music.
