Sutton Grammar School students can study Psychology at A-Level. The subject has proved very popular throughout the time it has been available to Sixth Form students.

 

What is this subject about?

Psychology is a subject which covers a wide spectrum of approaches. Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions affecting behaviour. It provides the dedicated student with fascinating insights into the structure and function of the human mind, as well as attempting to pinpoint what makes people tick. This course covers a broad range of subjects, including social, cognitive psychology, developmental and biopsychology. In addition, Psychology uses scientific methods to explain human behaviour for example the role of genetics in the development of schizophrenia.
