Absence Request

At Sutton Grammar School, we take our students’ attendance and academic progress very seriously. However, we understand that in some cases, unforeseen circumstances may arise that require a student to be absent from school. In such instances, we require parents or guardians to complete an absence request form and send it to the designated email address, absences@suttongrammar.school

It is important to note that the school’s governing body has established that absences during term time will be recorded as unauthorised unless there are exceptional circumstances.

We understand that family emergencies, illnesses, or other unexpected events can arise. We encourage parents to contact the school as soon as possible to discuss any planned absences or exceptional circumstances.

We appreciate your cooperation in completing the absence request form and notifying us of any absences.
