We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students.
We want to ensure that you have a safe and welcoming school environment where you feel respected and valued.
Reporting a concern
If you have heard something at school that you are not comfortable with, report it via the ‘Hear it? Report it!’ system so that we can strive to ensure the school is a safe and happy place for all. This can be found on the Personal Development page of the school website and there is also a link to this on the VLE homepage. You can also talk to your form tutor or Head of Year.
If you are worried about anything, don’t feel safe, or are worried about the safety of another student, you can talk to a member of the Safeguarding Team.
We recognise that you may want to report concerns about a student from our community but may not want to talk directly to a member of staff. You may want to even report anonymously.
Please fill in the form at the bottom of this page and this will be sent to a member of the Safeguarding Team.
Support during the school holidays and outside of school hours:
If you need support at the weekend or during the school holidays there are many sources of support that you can access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A list of these can be found here:
Urgent Mental Health Support
In an emergency, contact the police, 999.
Your Wellbeing
Emotional Wellbeing is a state of positive mental health and wellness. It can include your confidence, supportive and positive relationships with others, and a sense of understanding your own emotions.
At Sutton Grammar School we recognise that there are times when it is possible that you may need some extra support and help to manage unfamiliar situations and feelings.
