Sutton Grammar School

Student Voice

The Student Voice is a democratic system run by the students of the school as a means to voice student opinion and act as a formal body for communication between the students and staff. Its meetings are a place where issues concerning the students can be openly discussed, in a professional manner, between the form representatives and Senior Leadership Team members, where action can be planned, and where feedback and review can take place. During these sessions, written propositions known as motions shall be voted on and presented to members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Each form group shall nominate a representative in order to attend meetings and articulate the contributions of a form group. Representatives accumulate ideas for upcoming meetings and also feedback on points discussed at the meeting.

The Student Voice is able to utilise various communication features such as the Student Voice website and social media as well as form representatives.
