Pastoral Care is extremely important. Every boy needs to feel that he is a valued and integral part of the school community and we make sure that he is well cared for and happy.
From September 2015, boys will join one of five forms on entry and each boy is also assigned to a particular House. Each form is under the guidance of a form tutor who gets to know every boy as an individual.
Sutton Grammar School has a strong reputation as a relatively small, caring school in which boys behave in a spirit of mutual self-respect, and in which a disciplined environment ensures that each student looks after the well-being and safety of the others.
The experienced Head of Year 7, Head of Lower School and Heads of Upper School and Head of Sixth Form lead the tutors in looking after the welfare of all members of the School community and providing additional help and support when required.
The School caters well for boys with specific needs, liaising with parents and external agencies to ensure that each boy receives expert monitoring and good strategies to enable him to enjoy his education.
